Chaplaincy: ANNOUNCING 2020 PROGRAM SCHEDULE

Dear Esteemed Chaplains,

‎To reach our set goals and achieve our dreams, as committed in the CFM’s Christmas and New Year Messages, there is need for a roadmap/strategic plan and also coordinated actions to realise the set goals; we need to strive hard while making each day count as we seek ‎to realise the set goals‎.

In pursuant of this objective, the CFM has approved the 2020 Annual Programs Calendar as proposed by the National Programs Planning Committee, following their Strategic Programs Planning Meeting with the BOT held on Tuesday, 10th December, 2019.‎

This announcement therefore is to communicate this strategic timelines and calendar for the information of the Chaplaincy rank and file and to enable all Units/Areas/State formations of the Chaplaincy to proactively gear up and to also integrate the important dates in their respective local Chaplaincy plans for 2020.

Kindly find below the approved holistic calendar of Chaplaincy key Activities in 2020, with BOT schedules, Charity outreaches, Regional In service Training episodes, South African Summit and Units/Areas/Zonal Commands’ Meetings schedules, inclusive:

*Sat 1st February: – Board of Trustees’ Meeting

*Sat 8th February: – 1st quarter National In-Service Training/Fellowship (Lagos)

*2nd Sat February: – All State Commands’ Q1 Meetings/Fellowship (Date/Venue TBA)

Note: 1) General commissioning will take place thrice annually (per State/Region) in April, July and November. However, Special commissioning take place as often as it is needed.

Note: 2) CFM may schedule additional meetings or events in the course of the year, as the need arises.

Note: 3) All Units and Area meetings/Fellowship will henceforth hold monthly at agreed venues

Note: 4) All State Commands’ Meetings/Fellowship will henceforth hold quarterly at agreed venues (with exception of emergency meetings).
Note: 5) National Meetings will henceforth hold biannually (twice a year) at agreed venue.

Note: 6) National In-Service training/ Fellowship as usual hold biannually (twice a year) at agreed venue.

Note: 7) National Chaplain day/End of the year party will as usual hold once a year at agreed venue

In view of the above, you are therefore, kindly required to block your calendars accordingly to ensure your availability for these events.‎

Above programs have been captured in the 2020 Chaplaincy Calendar of Activities (To be published soonest). Be informed that the calendar may be updated from time to time. Any change or update will be communicated accordingly.
